David Robb
Head Coach Dawgs Baseball Program, Bench Coach 2009 Collegiate
Dawgs Coach Robb played at Cal State Fullerton and has coached for over 30 years
at all levels. He coached professionally with the Visalia Oaks, the A level affiliate
of the Oakland A’s as well as in the Italian Professional League. He has coached
at the collegiate level with Mesa CC and earned a trip to NCAA, Junior College,
JUCO World Series. Coach Robb also coached the Summer Collegiate Dawgs to a WMBL
Championship in 2004, winning Coach of the Year Honors. Coach Robb has also coached
the Kelowna Falcons of the West Coast League as well as Team Alberta at the Canada
Cup and internationally with both the Sr. and Jr. Canadian National Teams.

Brett Thomas (Catching, Hitting) - Coach, Okotoks Dawgs Summer Collegiate Club
Brett Thomas did
double duty as player and coach during the 2009 season. Brett was a big reason the
Dawgs won back to back WMBL championships in 2007 and 2008. And it was not just
his outstanding work handling the pitching staff or his clutch hits. His leadership
qualities on the field, in clubhouse and the dugout makes the difference. Brett
was WMBL Playoff and Dawgs’ MVP in 2009. Brett has been an integral part of the
J Dawgs Academy and Dawgs Baseball Camps growth and development.

Frank Ingram - Head Coach of J Dawgs Academy (Hitting, Pitching)
Frank was an Assistant coach at Thompson Rivers University. As
a pitcher at TRU, he was elected ace of the staff and was also a member of the Regina
Red Sox in the WMBL. Frank coached the premier Penticton Youth Baseball Club and
has been an instructor at the Big League Experience. Frank is a graduate of the
Dawgs youth program and has served as a head coach in the J Dawgs Youth Program
the past 2 years.

Andrew MacNevin - Assistant Coach J Dawgs Academy (Hitting, Catching, Infield)
Andrew was a two time all-conference player at NCAA Div 1 Niagara
University, an Academic All American and was a standout member of the Dawgs Collegiate
team in 2005. Andrew played for Canada's Jr. National Team. He began his coaching
career as an assistant coach at Niagara County Community College. Andrew has coached
with the J Dawgs for 2 seasons and was at the helm in April 2009 when the J Dawgs
captured the Best of the West Championship in Penticton, BC.

Trevor Varley - Pitching Coach (Pitching)
A native of Central City, Nebraska, Coach Varley was a three
sport standout in High School, including Pitcher of the Year. He received MVP honors
his junior and senior seasons. Varley finished at Peru State. He earned all-conference
honorable mention honors in 2006-2007. In 2007-2008 he was an All-MCAC scholar athlete
honoree. He also received team MVP honors in 2007-2008. Varley served as an Assistant
Coach at Peru State in Nebraska and is currently the Head Coach of the J Dawgs Midget
Performance team.

Matt Ircandia - Assistant Coach J Dawgs Academy (Pitching and Outfield)
Matt played college baseball at Niagara University and Washington
State University. He was drafted as a LHP by the San Francisco Giants in the 2002
MLB draft. In addition, Matt was selected to Canada's Jr. National Team and later
played with the Kelowna Falcons and Bellingham Bells of the West Coast League. Matt
has spent the past two seasons as head coach and pitching coach in the Italian Professional
League and in 2008 and 2009 led Pesaro to a series B league championship.

Jim Henderson - Assistant Coach, Fall Ball (Pitching)
Jim went from the J Dawgs Youth Program to Midland College in
Texas then to the University of Tennessee (Wes). After a stellar college career,
Jim was chosen in the 26th round of the MLB draft by the Montreal Expos in 2003.
Jim has played with Expos, Nationals and Cubs and is currently with the Milwaukee
Brewers. Jim posted an ERA under 2.00 while with the AAA Iowa Cubs. Jim volunteers
as a coach with the Dawgs youth program during his off-season.

Jeff Duda (Pitching)
Jeff was the ace of the Dawgs pitching staff who hails from Surrey,
B.C. Duda has put up impressive numbers at the collegiate level having been in the
starting rotation at Central Arizona Jr. College, perennial NAIA Champion, Lewis
Clark State College and most recently at Campbellsville University in Kentucky.
Duda has spent this 2008-09 winter pitching in the Australia Professional League.
Few Dawgs' fans will forget his 1-0 outing against the Swift Current Indians in
the WMBL Championship series, ultimately won by the Dawgs.

Marc Wilson (Pitching)
Marc was a pitcher for the Dawgs from 2007 – 2009. Marc is from
Calgary where he played locally as a youth. He graduated from Campbellsville University
in Kentucky. Marc was an important part of the 3 WMBL Championships in Okotoks.
Marc is very effective teaching throwing mechanics and working with the youths in
Dawgs Camps.
